Esri is the world leader in GIS software. I designed and engineered the audiovisual systems for the corporate headquarters in Redlands, California, working in close coordination with the project's Danish architectural designer to ensure the technology blended seamlessly into the room.
The centerpiece of the auditorium is a 40-foot by 15-foot projection screen. A system of video routing, processing, and projection produces a high-impact multi-window experience, brought together by a Christie Spyder that handles edge blending across two Christie HD10K-M projectors with dynamic multi-window support.
Selecting the perforation pattern for the wall and ceiling panels required R&D testing I conducted in an anechoic chamber, measuring candidate patterns for acoustic transparency before committing to a finish. That work let the 3.1-channel ribbon column arrays sit behind the room's wood surfaces without compromising their performance or the architect's intent.
A robotic multi-camera system and seamless switcher provide broadcast-quality image magnification and event recording. Dual Cisco codecs connect the auditorium to remote sites.
