The Marquis is a landmark property for the Marriott chain and among the top revenue-generating hotels in the brand. Extensive renovations were conducted from 2009 to 2011, during which I designed and programmed all of the property's audiovisual systems. Coverage includes the fitness center, grand pool and pool bar, 75,000 square feet of meeting space, and a full-service restaurant and bar.
The music and meeting room audio systems use MediaMatrix NION processors fitted with Dante network audio interfaces, interconnected over an HP ProCurve networking infrastructure. This was among the first large-scale hospitality deployments of the Dante protocol, developed in direct correspondence with Audinate in Australia and with MediaMatrix, who supplied the Dante cards for their DSP platform.
A Crestron control system provides master control, with 23 processors and 71 touch panels handling audio, video, and lighting throughout the property.
